NSG 5705 Acute Care of Adult-Geriatric Populations III Lecture: 4 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4 The course focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of acute/critical health alterations. The most common and highest acuity of GI, endocrine, hematologic/oncologic, dermatologic, musculoskeletal, traumatic, and multi-system disorders are examined. Advanced practice nursing strategies to restore, maintain, and enhance health are emphasized. In addition, participants manage patient and family response to life support, palliative care, and end of life strategies to optimize outcomes.
