The focus is on strategies for this population in rural and underserved areas. This is the first of three sequential courses that apply the nursing process through communication and assessment skills, interpretation of findings, application of diagnostic methods, developing plans of care, and implementing nursing strategies to promote personal, cognitive, and physical health. Clinical hours are completed in pediatric and women’s health settings.
