This graduate program is designed for those qualified individuals who wish to continue their academic credentials in the field of information technology. The required coursework consists of 45 quarter credit hours mixing advanced theory with applied results; students will conduct research in the field of information technology and complete an applied capstone project.
MISSION
The Master of Science in Information Technology program is designed to prepare students with further study in the planning, integration, and maintenance of information technology solutions using real-world problems. The goal of the program is to provide organizations with individuals who can critically plan, develop, implement, and manage information technology solutions under real-world constraints using the latest technology.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Graduates completing the program will accomplish the following outcomes:
- Analyze business needs, risks, and requirements to design a comprehensive software solution to a set of business problems.
- Manage information technology projects by incorporating or enhancing networks, databases, operating systems, and applications.
- Research computing problems and apply the latest technology and published findings to provide better solutions.
- Apply theory, research, and practice to a selected project and prepare a computer system solution.
