This graduate program is designed for those qualified individuals who wish to continue their academic credentials in the field of computer science.  The program requires successful completion of 45 total quarter credit hours and is designed to be delivered in an online format.  The required coursework balances advanced theory of computation and applied projects utilizing complex software solutions; students will conduct research in the field of computing and complete an applied capstone project.

MISSION
The mission of the Master of Science in Computer Science program is to enhance the theoretical analysis of software and understanding of programming for students with a computer science background. The curriculum is designed to provide organizations with individuals able to analyze, design, implement, validate, and document computer software solutions according to business needs.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Graduates completing the program will accomplish the following outcomes:

  1. Analyze algorithmic solutions to logic problems based on scalable data processing and operational run time.
  2. Construct software solutions to business problems using advanced data structures, programming logic, and algorithms.
  3. Describe programming problems using automata and state-based logic diagrams.
  4. Research computing problems and apply the latest technology and published findings to provide better solutions.
  5. Apply theory, research, and practice to a selected project and prepare a software solution.

The Master of Science in Computer Science program is offered Online.
