  • 11/18/24- A curriculum change was made to the Doctor of Education, Doctor of Business Administration, and Educational Specialist programs effective December 1, 2024 for CBE.
  • 11/18/24- A curriculum change was made to the Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia program effective Winter 2025 Quarter.
  • 11/15/24- The Certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology program was added for Online starting the Fall 3 2024 term.
  • 11/15/24- The curriculum for the Associate of Science in Medical Office Administration was updated effective with the Fall 3 2024 term for Online.
  • 11/15/24- The Academic Standards and Progression section was updated for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing, and the Certificate in Practical Nursing programs.
  • 11/12/24- Student Learning Outcomes were updated for the Associate of Science in Nursing and the Certificate in Practical Nursing programs.
  • 11/7/24- The Dallas Campus information and programs were added to the Catalog.
  • 10/30/24- The Admissions Requirements for the Doctor of Ministry program were updated.
  • 10/18/24- The curriculum for the MSN (RN-MS Track) with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner was updated and is effective Fall 2 2024 for Online.
  • 9/30/24- The Sex Discrimination (Title IX) Policy and Grievance Procedures in the Student Services section was updated.
  • 9/18/24- The Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies curriculum for the Knoxville and Atlanta campuses was updated effective Fall 2024.
  • 9/17/24- The Associate of Science in Medical Office Administration curriculum was updated effective Fall 2024.
  • 9/16/24- The Master of Science in Accounting curriculum was updated effective Fall 2024.
  • 9/12/24- The Admission Requirements for the MSN and DNP programs (excluding DNP in Nurse Anesthesia) were updated to remove the requirement of a two-page typed personal statement of professional goals and objectives.
  • 9/11/24- Programmatic accreditation by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET for the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology program was added to the Accreditation and Authorizations section.
  • 8/30/24- The MS Criminal Justice program will now be offered in a Competency-based education (CBE) format starting with the October 1, 2024 CBE term.
  • 8/26/24- The 2024-2025 tuition and fees were updated in the Financial Information section.
  • 8/16/24- The Educational Specialist (EdS) program was added in a a Competency-based education (CBE) format starting with the September 1, 2024 CBE term
  • 8/16/24- Effective Fall 2024, the completion of South College/Peregrine Pre-Program Assessment Exam (Accounting focused Assessment) was removed from the Master of Science in Accounting program admissions requirements. The assessment will be required in the first course of the program.
  • 8/14/24- The South College Pittsburgh Learning Site received a Certificate of Authorization from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to operate as a Degree Granting Institution in Pittsburgh, PA.
  • 8/6/24- The State Refund Policy (New Jersey) was added to the Financial Aid section.
  • 7/26/24- The Participation Policy and the Academic Standards were updated for the following CBE Programs: DBA, EdD, DMin, MBA(Executive), MS Information Technology Management, MEd Curriculum & Instruction, Master of Arts in Ministry, and Post-Doctoral Certificate in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Organizational Leadership, Adult Learning & Development, Educational Leadership, Higher Education Leadership, Instructional Design & Technology, and Teach & Learning programs.
  • 7/16/24- The Readmission Policy for the LPN, ASN, and BSN program was updated to require any student offered readmission to audit a course(s) in cases where the last date of enrollment was greater than 1 calendar year from the readmission date.
  • 6/24/24- The Doctor of Ministry with specialization in Chaplaincy was added for CBE starting September 2024.
  • 6/24/24- The CERT Healthcare Administration program was added for Online starting Summer 2024.
  • 6/5/24- The Program Admission and Prerequisites section of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program was updated.
  • 6/5/24- The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy was updated.
  • 5/24/24- The BS in Nursing (Accelerated) and the BS in Nursing (Hybrid/Online) programs were added for the Asheville campus starting Summer 2024.
  • 5/22/24- The CERT Medical Assisting Specialist/Nursing Assistant Articulated (Orlando) and the CERT Medical Assisting/Nursing Assistant Articulated (Knoxville, Nashville) programs have been discontinued.  
  • 5/14/24- The Certificate in Business Administration was added for the Asheville campus starting Summer 2024.
  • 4/29/24- The AS, Respiratory Therapy program was added for the Orlando campus starting Spring Mid 2024.
  • 4/18/24- The Certificate in Phlebotomy Technician program was added for the Asheville campus starting Spring Mid 2024.
  • 4/17/24- The Joint Enrollment for High School Students information regarding program criteria to be considered for the program has been updated.
  • 4/15/24- The Admission Requirements for Associate and Baccalaureate programs has been updated to outline that a diploma/certificate earned from an accredited U.S. institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 must be at least 36 quarter hours (24 semester hours) in length.
  • 4/15/24- The Nashville Campus is no longer accepting applications for the Certificate in Nursing Assistant and Certificate in Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant Articulated programs.
  • 4/11/24- The Admission Requirements for the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Pre-Medical/Health Professions was revised to remove the minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher for science courses requirement.
  • 4/3/24- The Admission Requirements were updated for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography, AS and Radiography, AS programs.
  • 4/1/24- The AS, Respiratory Therapy program was added for the Asheville campus starting Spring 2024.
  • 3/21/24- The Curriculum & Instruction, MEd program will be offered in a Competency-based education (CBE) format starting with the July 1, 2024 CBE term.
  • 3/11/24- The General Undergraduate Admission Requirements in the Admissions section was updated to outline that a diploma from an accredited U.S. institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is acceptable proof of completion of a degree.
  • 3/6/24- The Admission of Non-Degree/Certificate Seeking Students (Undergraduate Only) in the Admissions section was updated to outline that non-degree seeking students are not required to show proof of satisfactory completion of prerequisite coursework.
  • 2/29/24- The General Undergraduate Admissions Requirements in the Admissions section were updated to clarify the application process for applicants who completed their high school education outside of the United States.
  • 2/23/24- The Ministry, Master program admission requirements were updated to remove the letter of recommendation requirement.
  • 2/21/24- The Grading Scale for the Nursing, MS program was updated and is effective Spring 2024.
  • 2/20/24- The Respiratory Therapy, AS program admission requirements were updated.
  • 2/19/24- The Pharmacy, PharmD program curriculum was updated and is effective Summer 2024.
  • 2/19/24- The Physical Therapy, DPT program curriculum was updated and is effective Fall 2024.
  • 2/12/24- The Hybrid/Online Radiography, AS program was added for the Asheville, Knoxville, and Nashville campuses starting Summer 2024. 
  • 2/9/24- The Hybrid/Online Diagnostic Medical Sonography, AS program was added for the Asheville and Nashville campuses starting Summer 2024 and for the Atlanta Campus starting Fall 2024.
  • 2/8/24- The admissions requirements were updated for the Business Administration, DBA program for concentrations in IT, Healthcare Management, and Accounting to require evidence of 3 years’ experience in the field.
  • 2/9/24- The Business, Certificate program was added for the Knoxville, Nashville campuses and Online starting Winter Mid Quarter 2024.
  • 2/5/24- The Nursing Assistant, Certificate program was added for the Knoxville and Nashville campuses starting Spring 2024.
  • 1/22/24- The School of Nursing updated the Entrance Exam (ATI TEAS) policy and the Readmission Policies for the Practical Nursing, Certificate, Nursing, AS, and Nursing, BS programs.
  • 12/16/23- The Business Administration, MBA (Executive) program will be offered in a Competency-based education (CBE) format starting with the January 1, 2024 CBE term.
  • 12/15/23- The Nursing, LPN/ASN Option, AS (Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville, Orlando) and Nursing, Accelerated Option, BS (Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville) programs were added for the Atlanta Campus starting Winter 2024.
  • 12/12/23- The admission requirements for the Ministry, Doctor program were updated to require a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale in post-baccalaureate degree coursework.
  • 12/11/23- The Nursing, LPN/ASN Option, AS (Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville, Orlando) program was added for the Knoxville, Nashville, & Orlando campuses starting Winter 2024 quarter.
  • 12/11/23- The Nursing, RN/BSN Option, BS (Online) program curriculum was updated and goes into effect Winter 2024 quarter.
  • 12/7/23- The Business Administration, DBA with a Concentration in Information Technology program and the Information Technology, Certificate (Post-Doctoral) program will be offered in a Competency-based education (CBE) format starting with the February 1, 2024 CBE term.
  • 12/6/23- The curriculum for the Surgical Technology, AS program was updated and goes into effect Winter 2024 quarter.
  • 11/16/23- The curriculum for the Physician Assistant Studies, MHS (Asheville), Physician Assistant Studies, MHS (Knoxville/Atlanta), & Physician Assistant Studies, MHS (Nashville) programs was updated and goes into effect for new students admitted in 2024.
  • 11/16/23- The curriculum for the Nursing, Nursing Practice Degree with Concentration in Nurse Anesthesia, DNP was updated and goes into effect Winter 2024 quarter.

  • 10/27/23- Functional Capabilities were added to the Dental Hygiene, AS program description.
  • 10/25/23- The Technical Standards were updated for the Physical Therapy, DPT program.
  • 10/24/23- The Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Technician Concentration, AS (Atlanta, Asheville, Knoxville, & Nashville) was added for the Asheville Campus starting Winter 2024.
  • 10/12/23-  The Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Technician Concentration, AS (Atlanta, Asheville, Knoxville, & Nashville) & Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Concentration, Certificate (Atlanta, Knoxville, & Nashville) programs were added for the Atlanta Campus starting Fall 2023.
  • 10/2/23- The  Ministry, Doctor and Ministry, Master programs will be offered in a Competency-based education (CBE) format starting Winter 2024.
  • 9/19/23- The Physical Therapy, DPT program was added for the Nashville Campus starting Fall 2024.
  • 9/13/23- The School of Rehabilitation Sciences was created and replaced the School of Physical Therapy.
  • 9/6/23-  The Phlebotomy Technician, Certificate program was added for the Atlanta Campus starting Fall 2023.
  • 8/22/23-  The Medical Assisting (Online), Certificate program was added for Online starting Winter 2024.
  • 8/21/23-  The Medical Office Administration, AS program was added for the Knoxville Campus starting Fall 2023 and Online starting Winter 2024.
  • 8/18/23-  The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Post-Grad), Certificate, Family Nurse Practitioner (Post-Grad), Certificate, & Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care (Post-Grad), Certificate curriculum was updated.
  • 7/31/23- The Respiratory Therapy, AS program received approval from SACSCOC.
  • 7/24/23- Starting with the Fall 2023 Quarter, the Information Technology Management, MS program will be offered in a Competency-based education (CBE) format.
  • 7/14/23- The Psychology, MS program was added for Online starting Fall 2023 Quarter.
  • 6/15/23- The Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Technician, Certificate program was added for the Knoxville Campus starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 6/12/23- The Phlebotomy Technician, Certificate program was added for the Knoxville and Nashville Campuses starting Summer 2023 Quarter.

  • 6/12/23- The Accounting, Certificate (Post-Doctoral) Healthcare Administration, Certificate (Post-Doctoral) Organizational Leadership, Certificate (Post-Doctoral-DBA) programs were added for the Knoxville Campus starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 6/8/23- The Respiratory Therapy, AS program was added for the Knoxville Campus starting Fall 2023 Quarter.  The program is currently pending SACSCOC approval.
  • 5/22/23- The Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical/Health Professions, Certificate program was added for Online starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 5/22/23- The Nursing, Hybrid/Online Option, BS (Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville, Orlando) program was added for the Atlanta Campus starting Fall 2023 Quarter.
  • 5/19/23- The Health Science (Post-OTA), BS program was added and will be offered at the Knoxville, & Nashville campuses and Online starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 5/19/23- The Practical Nursing, Certificate program was added for the Asheville Campus starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 5/19/23-  The Pharmacy, PharmD curriculum was updated and is effective for students starting in Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 5/18/23- The Education, EdD with a specialization in Instructional Design & Technology was added to the catalog and will begin Fall 2023 Quarter.
  • 5/18/23- The Academic Standards, Student Progress, and Grading section was updated for the Ministry, Doctor & Ministry, Master programs.
  • 4/4/23- The Transfer of Credit policy was updated for the Business Administration, MBA program.
  • 3/24/23- The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy was added to the Academic Information section.
  • 3/22/23- The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Post-Grad), Certificate and Pharmacy, PharmD program curriculum was updated.
  • 3/20/23- The following programs were added: Business Administration, Healthcare Management Concentration, AS, Business Administration, Digital Marketing Concentration, AS, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship Concentration, AS, & Healthcare Administration, BS.   
  • 3/14/23- The Nursing, AS program was added for the Orlando Campus starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 3/13/23- The Practical Nursing, Certificate (Pittsburgh) program was added for the Pittsburgh Campus starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 3/9/23- The Sterile Processing Technician, Certificate program was added for the Knoxville Campus starting Summer 2023 Quarter.
  • 2/27/23- For the Atlanta Campus only effective Spring 2023 Mid Quarter (5/10/23), a requirement that all applicants must successful meet the minimum TEAS Assessment score prior to starting pre-requisite coursework was added to the Practical Nursing, Certificate program. 
  • 2/27/23- The Refund Policy for Pennsylvania was added to the Financial Information section.
