PAS 5261 Clinical Assessment and Management I

This is the first course in a sequence of three courses designed to teach the essentials of clinical adult medicine. A body system approach is used to present the etiology, epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, laboratory and diagnostic studies, and diagnosis and treatment of common diseases. Laboratory sessions utilize small-group patient cases in various formats to reinforce medical knowledge, develop clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, and to refine patient evaluation skills. The body systems covered include dermatology, HEENT, musculoskeletal, and infectious disease.
