RDA 1240 Dental Assisting II

Lecture: 2 Lab: 2 Practica: 2 Total Credits: 6
This course is a continuation of RDA1230 Dental Assisting I. Students are instructed in patient care, accurate dental charting, anesthesia and sedation, nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing, sealants, and expanded dental function allowable in the State of Tennessee under the State Dental Practice Act. Students begin clinical assisting in the Dental Hygiene Clinic in preparation for the externship.
