SOC 2901 Cultural Diversity Lecture: 4.5 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4.5 This course explores the dynamics of cultural differences and commonalities within the context of North American society. Through an examination of communication patterns, belief systems and values, cultural practices and traditions, and history and heritage, the course is designed to promote student insight into the multifaceted aspects of cultural identity. Through analysis and research, students investigate the elements that define and distinguish various cultures. The primary goal of this course is to deepen students’ understanding of cultural diversity through academic inquiry and critical examination.
