NSG 6130 Statistics for Doctoral Nursing Practice Lecture: 4 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4 This course focuses on the foundational logic and appropriate application of commonly used statistical techniques reported in health profession research literature. Emphasis is placed on interpreting appropriateness of statistical analysis in research literature. Content areas include the collecting, analyzing, utilizing, and making inferences about statistical data applications. Descriptive and inferential statistics, including both univariate and multivariate parametric and nonparametric tests are included as well as statistical tests common in epidemiology and evidence-based practice, such as risk ratio, odds ratio, and number needed to treat or to harm.
