PSY 3300 Psychology of the Family Lecture: 4.5 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4.5 This course is a study of family dynamics along with the psychological conditions influencing them. Family systems theory is studied, including marriage, power, conflict, and communication in families, birth order and its effects on mating, parenting styles, family stress, crisis, divorce, remarriage, and family life from an individual and social-psychological perspective. This course focuses on the psychological impact families have on individual members.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 1821 & PSY 2100 with a grade of C or better
