PSY 5800 Social and Cultural Issues in Psychology Lecture: 4.5 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4.5 This course provides students with an overview and understanding of the integration of Social and Cultural Psychology. Topics covered include social relationships, cognitive processes, group and identity formation, stereotyping, prejudice, and stigma. Students develop an understanding of social and cultural psychological perspectives, theories, and terminology to examine and explain society and culture’s impact on various psychological processes.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 5000 with a grade of C or better
