NSG 6121 Translational Science, Quality Improvement, & Program Evaluation Lecture: 4 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4 This course focuses on the integration of theory and empirical evidence and application to best practices in clinical peri-anesthesia care and decision making, as well as the knowledge and skills necessary to measure and assess the impact of interventions on healthcare. There is an introduction to the nature and uses of theory and the process of theory construction. Major relevant theories are analyzed with an emphasis on implications for nursing practice. Residents explore the development and use of relevant outcome measures to evaluate research, quality improvement, and programs.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the DNP program with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia
