OTD 6100 Occupational Therapy Profession and Practice

This course provides an overview of the field of occupational therapy, exploring its history, core philosophical beliefs, traditional and emerging practice areas, and the roles of occupational therapy practitioners in these settings. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of professional organizations, ethical principles, and core values, with a focus on the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF-4). The course also examines key theories, models of practice, and frames of reference commonly applied in occupational therapy settings.
