OTD 6260 Occupational Performance I: Older Adult

This course provides an introduction to occupational therapy for older adults, examining occupational behavior, developmental theories, and therapy frameworks applied to common physical, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions in older adults. Psychosocial factors affecting occupational performance are emphasized and client-centered, meaningful outcomes encouraged. Students engage in evidence-based practice, applying their knowledge in various therapy settings. The lab portion offers hands-on experience, helping students develop skills in evaluation and intervention for older adult conditions.
