OTD 6312 Preparatory Tasks & Methods I

This course covers the fundamental basis of theory and evidence for selecting and utilizing physical agent modalities (PAMs) and orthotic interventions for musculoskeletal dysfunction in occupational therapy. Students work to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to design, fabricate, and apply orthotics and PAMs to enhance upper extremity function through case-based and hands-on learning. Regulatory and competency requirements are addressed to ensure safe client-centered care.
