OTD 6516 Health Promotion/Wellness and Community Based Practice

This course focuses on the connection between occupation and health, well-being, and participation, emphasizing the role of lifestyle factors in occupational engagement and wellness. Critical thinking on how these factors inﬂuence occupational therapy practice are encouraged. The course also explores occupational therapy’s contributions to lifestyle medicine, aging-in-place, and lifestyle redesign.
