NSG 6701 DNP Transition Seminar Lecture: 4 Lab: 0 Practica: 0 Total Credits: 4 This course introduces students to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) role, emphasizing professional transition, leadership, and scholarly practice. Students explore the DNP Essentials, NONPF Core Competencies, and program outcomes as a framework for advancing clinical expertise and contributing to healthcare improvement. Key components include the integration of evidence-based practice, informatics, and technology in support of clinical scholarship. Students identify a focus area for scholarly immersion, select a project topic, and begin developing their DNP Scholarship Portfolio to demonstrate competency across all domains of DNP practice. Students engage in early project design and gain foundational skills necessary for successful implementation. The course supports socialization into the DNP role, reinforcing accountability and leadership in advancing nursing practice.
