Overview

The Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology program is designed to provide organizations with individuals who can critically analyze and apply engineering principles to design, solve, and troubleshoot situations in manufacturing and service industries. Major curriculum courses focus on applying basic electrical engineering technology principles and producing computer-aided designs for industrial and service applications. Students in this program also complete courses in computer programming, quality control, and technical reporting, while understanding the importance of critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students are required to earn a minimum grade of “C” in all major courses.

Learning Outcomes

Through completion of the Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology program, students will:

  1. Apply fundamental mathematical, scientific, and engineering technologies to formulate and solve engineering related problems.
  2. Create and modify complete sets of engineering drawings using critical thinking skills and problem-solving techniques.
  3. Develop and maintain systems using instrumentation, programming, and controls.
